Mission Statement

The corporate finance magazine CFO Insight, the successor of FINANCE Emerging Europe, published by FINANCIAL GATES, member of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung group (Germany’s leading daily), will host the CFO Summit Emerging Europe & CIS for the fifth time in Autumn 2012 in Vienna, in cooperation with renowned sponsors.

The CFO Summit Emerging Europe & CIS is designed to provide a platform for executive financial decision makers of large and medium-sized corporations in emerging Europe.

A well-balanced mixture of corporate finance workshops on the one hand and intellectually challenging keynote addresses by writers, artists, internationally successful athletes, journalists, scientists and politicians on the other will make the event a unique source of strategic inspiration.

The Summit is the leading European gathering for chief financial officers from emerging Europe. In 2011, over 200 financial executives discussed their corporate finance experiences and M&A strategies during workshops and plenary sessions.

In 2011, the title "CFO of the Year" was awarded to Giacomo Baizini, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and CFO, EVRAZ Group S.A., for outstanding achievements in debt management and refinancing.
